You've got to appreciate a love story with a not-so-happy (and maybe more realistic) ending.

Having just read the book, I was suspicious of this movie. Other than being annoyed by how rushed the plot felt, I enjoyed it. Except the kid who played Marcus - he was cast all wrong.

Very powerful. It had me thinking, which is always a sign of a good movie.

I'm a sucker for visually stunning films, in which case the rest of the movie is pretty secondary. Avatar was such a great experience. Period.

Loved. It. I knew Dave Eggers would write a good screenplay. And Krasinski and Rudolph were captivating.

I liked the intertwining stories in this film, but it never seemed to hit a climax. I felt like I missed something. Maybe I did.

Cheesy, corny, predictable. Exactly what I needed on a sick day.

This story had me so frustrated. I can't believe the corruption! I felt so hopeless... I can't even imagine how she felt when it was really happening.

Made me question the morality of cheating in today's society of cheaters. So that's good...

This film appropriately created the horror and fear and living in a terror-ridden, post-fertility world.

I was prepared to be scared even though I hate scary movies. Turns out this movie only made me laugh.

Holy crap this movie was lame. Which is sad because I want to like Isla Fisher. But wow, terrible movie.

There were moments, but really, it was much more stale than I usually like in a comedy.

Bad Blake is a fascinating character, and Jeff Bridges was perfectly cast. Nothing groundbreaking in the plot, but a solid story.

I'm sure it was a really good movie, but I just couldn't get past all the glitzy singing. I did enjoy Jennifer Hudson's performance though.

I only watched this because it was one of the few movies in my roommates collection I hadn't seen before. I was surprised at how much it actually made me laugh. Though... still pretty corny.

I had heard this movie was crazy weird, but I really didn't think it was. I wasn't very impressed by much in this film.

Yeah it was pretty gross, but it just didn't interest me the way I thought it would.

There was some silly toilet humor, but this movie didn't rely solely on that, which I appreciate.

Funny stuff. A truly funny holiday movie. You know, as opposed to cheesy funny like so many others recently.

Loved Jane Fonda, and the other gals were okay too. Only there seemed to be something missing, though I'm not sure what. Don't care enough to ponder.

Gotta love a John/Joan Cusack movie. But as someone about to celebrate their 10 yr reunion, all I could think was "God they look old. Am I that old?"

I saw a high school perform this musical recently and wanted to see the movie. Gotta say, I think it was a tie as to which was better. They were both cheesy and corny and a little bit fun.

I thought the film moved a little slow, but the acting was good. Ryan Gosling is so easy to watch, and not just because he's good looking.

It was tolerable at least. That's about all I can say.

I liked this because it made me laugh without having to resort to over-the-top toilet and sex jokes. Plus, could Paul Rudd's character be any more adorable and awkward?

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the...
I don't know the other Indiana Jones movies well, but I found this one to be fun and kind of funny. However, some parts (um... Shia Labeouf as Tarzan) were a little ridiculous and silly.

I wasn't sure how the book would translate into a movie, but turns out it worked well. The scenic shots were amazing, and Emile Hirsch wasn't bad either.

I guess I expected to be creeped out, but instead this movie is touching. The way the town accepts this inanimate object because of how much they love Lars...if only that could happen in real life.

I had to watch this for class. It was fine, but not gripping. It was educational, however, which I don't mind.

Loved the casting and loved the story. I wish I could say that in the ~30 years since Milk's death we've made more progress than we have. But at least we've made some. And will continue.

The whole film takes place on the moon. Essentially there's only one actor. And a robot of course. I thought it was an intriguing concept - I enjoyed watching.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
Awww. Cute. I love Michael Cera and anything he's in. But wow, high schoolers are not like they were in my day! Dirty dirty.

The characters were brilliant in this film. I had just finished reading the novel, and I thought the performances were spot on. Although I'm still confused about some plot points.

Johnny Depp? Yum. Christian Bale? Yes please. Together in the same movie? Very yes! I was tired though so the movie felt long.

I sort of liked the bizarre style and editing of this movie. But I was easily distracted while watching.

I was surprised Adam Sandler could play something other than obnoxious doofus. But I enjoyed this a lot.

I'm not really sure how to talk about this movie. It struck some really interesting chords with me. Plus Kate and Leonardo were heartbreakingly good.

I actually enjoyed watching this movie even if it wasn't a masterpiece. I love Mark Wahlberg and it was good enough entertainment for a pizza and a movie night.

Of course I had heard that this movie was great, but I'm always skeptical of such critical acclaim. But I was completely captivated throughout the whole film, and I want to see it again - something I almost never say.

This was billed as a dark comedy, but I'd say it's less comedy and more...story. A good story though.

Ok this made me want a Big Mac. I don't eat enough fast food for this to really scare me, although the puking scene was pretty nasty.

Yes I laughed, but this movie did not fulfill my expectations as fueled by all the hype. I liked the message about friendship more than I did the endless toilet humor.

I love kick-ass movies. And that's pretty much what Liam Neeson did the whole time.

I know a lot of people hated this movie, but there was lot of action and giant killer machines, which makes it a good one in my book.

The satire was thick, which I enjoy. And the fast pace made it an easy watch.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
This helped pass almost three hours of a six hour flight. And I was engrossed every minute.

What I expected: hilarity. What I got: eh, pretty funny. I don't think I laughed as much as I was supposed to, but I still enjoyed myself.

I don't mind the blood and violence, so this movie didn't disturb me in that way. But it did make the harrowing life of a soldier all too real.

It's so hard to watch the movie version of a book you liked. Even though I enjoyed this film, it felt choppy and disconnected.

I enjoyed watching the period dress more than anything else, though the rest was pretty good too.

This was cute enough, but I really could have gone for some more believable chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.

Interesting perspective. I was only 16 when Princess Diana died, and I was oblivious to the politics that surrounded it.

So adequately captures the feelings of desperation, isolation and fear that I got from the book. Rather haunting actually.

I enjoyed all the characters, and even though it didn't illicit any really strong emotions, the story made me smile.

This story felt very real. Probably because it was. But the acting and direction sure helped.

This movie scared me. I never want to have kids now. There's just too much crap out there to hurt them.

Come on, that was not nearly as horrible as you all made me think it would be. It wasn't perfect, but I rather enjoyed it for it was.

A pleasure to watch. As a friend said, it's not a "feel good movie," but I don't think it needed to be. It was well-crafted.

I actually understood what was going on, which is saying something for the telling of such a complicated story.

I don't know how accurate it all was, but I sure learned a lot about the war and the presidency from this movie.

I loved it like everyone else. But I couldn't give it more than an 8 because I judge movie based mostly on how strongly they make me feel something. This film was stunning, but I didn't feel 10 points worth of any emotion.

I like a good mystery, but I got lost in the details of this one. Plus I was sorely disappointed with the end (no spoilers).
