Don’t weight for me
Someone recently told me about a quick and easy routine to eliminate arm flab. I have plenty of arm flab to eliminate, so I thought, hell, I’ll try it. A few days later Brad and I went out and bought some hand weights in 5 and 10 pound denominations.
For fun, Brad thought he’d do the weight routine with me. Ain’t he supportive? My intention is to start with the fives and work my way up to the tens because the point is to tone, not build muscle. Brad started with the tens.
But see, Brad doesn’t have any arm flab. When I pointed this out, he said, Sure I do. Look at that! And he pinched a centimeter of skin underneath his bicep.
Excuse me, I said, but that is not flab. That is skin. This is flab. And I grabbed a handful of my arm.
Brad responded by doing one arm curl with the 10lb weights, and poof! whatever fat cells he might have had just melted away.
Good for you hon, I replied. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have about 850,000 more of those to do. And then I threw a 5lb weight at his face.

That wasn’t nice throwing in his face.
I actually have 3, 5, and 8 pounds. I find that some workouts you’ll progress much more quickly than others. Like your biceps will be able to do more weight than like your triceps can. And also, jumping from 5 to 10 pounds is a lot harder than it sounds. You may want to consider getting an 8 pound weight for your next progression. Though I’m no expert on working out, and shouldn’t be taken seriously.
What’s really funny is Kevin and I were working out together to the same workouts a few years back. He was lifting fifteen pounds with ease to the same reps, while I was barely doing five. What’s even worse, my arms were stinkin’ sore, while he claimed he didn’t even ache. He sucks… or maybe I do.

Well I’m also going to increase my reps each week. So 10-20-30 with the 5lb weights, then 10-20-30 with the tens. That’s what this person told me she did. Of course, I’m not sure where she got her information, but I’ll try it.

Please keep us updated on the progress of this. I’d love to eliminate my arm flab!! I haven’t worn a tank top in years!

hee hee … you know when i did my cleanse, it kickstarted my weight loss only duke didn’t even do the cleanse and he lost more weight than me ~ grrrrrrrr
good thing he doesn’t come to the gym with me ~ you know for his safety
i’ve been using weights for a couple of months now and arm flab is almost non-existant (though it prolly won’t take you that long, i had a lot, you know the bed rest thing contributed to crazy muscle loss which i never dealt with until recently)
