Week 14 through 18

My last OB appointment was around 18 weeks (last week). I'm still down a pound from where I started, but I know the weight gain is coming. I'm ready for it! The nurse found the heartbeat much faster than last time, and with my paranoia leading up to that appointment, it was a huge relief. It was at 160 beats per minute.

My ultrasound is scheduled for the 24th. I know it's not very exciting to anyone else because we're not finding out the sex, but we can't wait!

I've heard there are t-shirts that say "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant" and I'm thinking I need one of those! Not really, I don't care if people think I'm chubby, but I am eager to have a clearly defined baby belly. My sister, nine days behind me, is popping! She's obviously pregnant, and I admit, I'm jealous! In the elevator on my way to my OB appointment last week, I was with an obviously pregnant lady and an older woman. The older woman made such a big deal over the pregnant one, and then let her off the elevator first before cutting me off as she exited herself. I wanted to yell, "Hey, I'm pregnant too!" It'll happen though. Someday soon I'll probably be complaining about how huge I am.

I'm having trouble getting photos uploaded on a weekly basis, so here are belly pics for weeks 14 through 18:

WEEK 14: Size of a Lemon

Mike bought the biggest lemon I've ever seen! It was about twice the size of the peach from Week 13, so I covered it up a little.

WEEK 15: Size of an Apple

We were camping this week, hence the great outdoors. I actually love how my belly looks in this one.

WEEK 16: Size of an Avocado

I normally find avocados delicious, but the last couple months they've disgusted me, so it was kind of funny that this was one of the comparisons.

WEEK 17: Size of an Onion

We were in the process of packing and moving, so this backdrop was only appropriate.

WEEK 18: Size of a Bell Pepper

Again with the moving boxes. The next pictures will be taken in our new house!

It cracks me up that you're comparing your unborn child to fruit. You should start referring to he/she as your belly fruit.

Haha that lemon is the same size as the avocado! Love it!

I'm down a whopping 30+ lbs since I started IVF. Yet I'm pregnant with twins. Go freaking figure. I think now that my appetite is back I'll be gaining that much needed weight.

And like you, I have no defined anything. Starting out plus size really does have it's downfalls. Though, I'm pretty sure that is what kept me alive when I could barely eat in the first trimester.
