Pump up the jams

Calling all runners. Or anyone who works out. Or anyone who uses an iPod. Or more aptly, anyone who works out while listening to an iPod. I need your help.
How the hell do you keep the earbuds in your damn ears?
For one thing, the earbuds don't fit comfortably at all. In fact, they kind of hurt. (Maybe I have small ear holes?) But when I'm sitting still, they will usually stay in place. However, when I'm moving, particularly running, there's no way they're staying in there. While it's still chilly enough, I've been wearing a knit ear warmer, which helps keep the earbuds in place. But as it gets warmer, I probably won't want to keep wearing it.
Is there a solution? Something to keep the earbuds in place, some kind of head band, better earbuds (earphones?), anything?

I have some great ones that have memory foam around them. I love them. They never fall out, and the sound is good. They are also red, which I like. I got them at Meijer or Wal-Mart or Target for, like, $15.
I hate earbuds. I think I have small ear canals, because it always hurts.
I'm partial to using the over the ear type of headphones that wrap around the back of your head. They seem to stay on pretty well while working out.
I actually do have little ears. I went to the Apple store and bought the children's ear buds. There's a brand that comes with three different sizes (you just switch the silicone thingie)
I also found the ear buds extremely annoying to work out with. I bought a pair of Skull Candy earbuds, which have silicone covering in several different sizes. I've never had a problem with those.
Great question! And great information from your readers. I hate ear buds. Anything that goes in my ear, actually. They always hurt.
Here is your solution:

Hey, I HATE my ear buds, too. They hurt. I bought a cheap pair of headphones that have the c-shaped ear piece, so they hang over your years. (If that makes any sense.) They were like $10 and work so much better when I'm working out. I still have to push them back in sometimes, but MAJOR improvement. Happy running!
Earbuds always hurt me too. The ones that are kind of squishy (not the hard plastic ones) work better for me.
Pump up the jams, pump it up a little louder now, pump up the jams... Totally reminds me of running in gym class. Thanks for the reminder. P.S. you better have this on your ipod.
Earbuds are terrible for running!
I use the Sennheiser PMX80 Sport Series II Behind the Head Ear Phones For Sports and love them.
