MoveOn is making me mad

Has anyone else been getting calls from moveon.org? Last week they called while I was at work, and I accidentally answered (though I usually NEVER answer unknown numbers) because I heard it vibrate and thought it was a text, and I absent-mindedly slid my phone open before realizing my mistake. The nice lady from MoveOn told me that they're launching some new campaign* and would I consider a monthly donation?

I very genuinely told her that I'd love to consider it, but now isn't a good time to talk. I'll check out the website and decide if I want to donate. She said "Ok, but I'll just let you know you'll probably get another call."

That's fine, I'll have time to think about it before then.

Except, they called again twice before I left work that day. And then twice more that night. And then a billion times since then. I haven't even bothered to look at the campaign information on their website because I'm holding a grudge. And I sure haven't answered any of their subsequent calls.

*It's the Public Option Now campaign. I found out when I went to link to their site. From the little I know, this might actually be something I'd support, but all their gee dee phone calls** have pissed me off!

**They've never EVER called me before this, so this isn't their usual tactic. Just in case you were thinking of supporting MoveOn. It's a good organization. They just need to keep a better call log or something.

I don't blame you. One poor telemarketer made the mistake of waking me up from my nap and I'm afraid I wasn't too kind to her. And by that, I mean I threatened to crawl through the phone lines and choke her if she or anyone from her company ever called me again. I don't like being waken up when I'm napping.

I personally get a little irritated at their alarmist subject lines in emails, but I still think they're a great organization.

I haven't gotten any phone calls, but I've gotten a ton of e-mails about this.

AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA, "gee dee"! Oh Shannon, how I love thee! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted (or since we've talked), but I loved reading about your Ireland trip, and I think it's adorably cute that you posted about how you and the giraffe had the exact same Obama sticker in the exact same, "tacky" way in your cars! Those are the small types of things that I put stock into too - so funny!

And I hear you about pushy and annoying phone calls - huge turn-off... come on MoveOn!
