Back to life

I'm home. Ireland was amazing. I can't believe I'm on the other side of the trip that I anticipated for so long, but I'm so glad I was able to go. You guys, I finally made it to Europe! And I'm ready to go back. As soon as I save enough money and vacation time, I'm there. I'm thinking France or the Netherlands this time. Or Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria... so many choices.
I have a lot of stories to tell and pictures to share, but it might be awhile before I get around to it. My computer is old and crabby, and I think it might melt if I try to download the 800+ photos I took. So I'm still trying to figure out what to do about that.
It was hard to come back. After two weeks I was ready to sleep in my own bed, wear clean clothes and straighten my hair (flat iron didn't work in Ireland - I had fro hair for two weeks), plus I missed the Giraffe terribly. Even more than I thought I would. But coming back to real life---working at a desk, finishing up school, paying bills, finding a place to live---was hard. My everyday life is in such stark contrast to the beauty and excitement of my two weeks in Ireland, and that was hard to accept. Has anyone figured out how to get paid to travel and experience amazing things all the time? Please give me tips.

Welcome back! When you figure out how to get paid for traveling and experiencing amazing things, please let me know! :-)
Ask Erica? I think becoming a travel agent would open you up to all that.
Yeah, so if you go to Europe again, you can always take me with you. :)
I totally understand your feelings. I just got back from London and Rome and am already starting to plan my next trip. Is,'t Europe amazing?? I am very glad you had such a great time!
Coming back from places you love to reality is often hard. But welcome back!
welcome home :-)
Oh shit, now you're going to spend the next forever traveling from country to country, eventually joining a band of gypsies and following a Scottish reggae band around the world. Then you and the Giraffe will devote your lives to producing a short film about the life of a Renaissance fair jouster. Wait, what are we talking about?
Welcome home, pretty lady!
Welcome back! I hear ya about Europe. I went twice in six months in 2003 and haven't been back. Someday, when vacation time and money all fall into place. So glad you had fun!
I'm so glad you had a wonderful trip! Can't wait to hear all about it and see your pics.
Travel and get paid...hmmm...become multilingual??
I have a feeling that when I finally make it to Europe, someone is going to have to come over there to drag me home. (Glad it was a great trip!)
