What animal would you be?

Me: If I was an animal, I'd definitely be a cat. I like to sleep, I'm pretty lazy, I'm goofy and I love when people pet me. What would you be?
Him: I don't know. Maybe a horse.
Me: Why a horse?
Him: Because I like to be helpful. You know... people could ride me. And stuff. And then when I died they could make me into glue, and I could help little kids with their craft projects.
Me: ....

Me, I'd probably be a cat...or a tortoise. A tortoise gets to hide out and hibernate. I'm pretty lazy too.

I sometimes will start a conversation like that with Kev, he usually gives me a smart a$$ answer.
I am pretty lazy, I like to sleep a lot, I'm pretty random, and get overly hyper at random times with sudden crashes for no reason whatsoever. So I think a cat would be quite fitting for me as well. Plus they do like being around people with moments of anti-social behavior. I wouldn't like purring whenever I'm happy though. I'd prefer people not to know when I am happy. And cleaning my butt with my tongue... yeah I wouldn't like that either. I'd have to be an outdoor cat, no litter box for me. Catnip would be neat. Chasing after laser pointers would be fun too.
Maybe it's because I'mm somewhat ornery tonight, but Mike's response made me feel kind of guilty.Is he seriously that nice of a guy? Me, I definitely would not be a horse. I wouldn't like someone dictating where I should go, what I should do. I would not like someone riding on me, I'd be the horse that bucks someone off randomly because I decided I wanted alone time. I would also be the horse that refuses to leave it's stall occasionally, and turning left, when the rider says right just because I'm annoyed at how much weight they've gained or such. I would be a lousy horse. Plus I'm clumsy, what horse is clumsy? As much as I like the idea of donating my organs to help others to live when I die, or let them do scientific research on my body, I'm not too keen on the fact that my body would be on some kids craft project. Despite the fact that I don't think they still make glue out of horses.
I think I'm taking this conversation way too seriously.
Now, if the question was what animal would you like to be, I might change my answer. Kevin would probably be a Beaver, he's really hardworking, and actually accomplishes things worthwhile.

Plus, don't kids eat glue, do you want kids to eat you?
