Extra patty

McDonald's was busy today. I didn't want to be there in the first place, but pickin's are slim near work when you forget to bring a lunch. However, I waited patiently for my cheeseburger, sipping casually on my Sprite.

The manager randomly showed up and asked me what I had ordered. A cheeseburger. Then he yelled back to the grill, "Can I get a cheeseburger?" As if I had asked him to speed things along or something. I showed no signs of impatience, but after a few seconds he decided to give me a double cheeseburger instead.

"Here, a double cheeseburger. On me."

Oh thanks, this extra patty of "meat" is on you? What's that costing ya? Like two and a half cents? Thanks so very much.

The thing is, I don't even like double cheeseburgers. Too much "meat." So when I sat down to eat, I had to peel off one of the patties and toss it aside. It made my McDonald's lunch seem even more appealing than it already did. Thanks Mr. Manager, but I really could have waited.

hehe.... Don't they normally give you fries or a pie when they take a long time... not "upgrade" your sandwich. That's so funny....
