Another craft

When I posted my last craft project, a house-warming gift for a friend, a friend from work subtely mentioned that she had just moved into a new apartment, too. I was looking for another project anyway so I immediately got started on something for her. In another act of shameless self-promotion, here it is:

Almost finished with the embroidery
A glimpse at the process and necessary tools

Jess' pillow
Finished project

Embroidery
Upclose look at the detail

If you know anyone who would be interested in this kind of thing, please send them my way. I really enjoying doing these things as gifts, but I wouldn't mind selling them either. The great thing is that they can be totally personalized. Show me a design you like and I'll recreate it in embroidery. I can frame it, make a pillow, a small blanket, whatever. I'm open to ideas! I also do names and initials or words.

I'm in a bit of a financial, uh, situation right now (the reasons to be revealed soon, I promise) and could really use any extra buck I can get. I'm thinking of opening an Etsy shop, but I'd rather do custom orders if there's interest.

Not that I think this is gonna pay dem bills, but I thought I'd throw it out there. If you know anyone who'd be interested in a hand-embroidered craft, send them my way yo!

I absolutely LOVE this pillow!!! I really wish I knew how to do stuff like this. And, as a matter of fact, this post makes me want to LEARN how to do stuff like this.

So...how much would you charge for a pillow? Email me. :)

You should totally open an Etsy shop. It's easy enough to add a line that says, "like this? I can custom make 'em."

as soon as this popped up, i thought etsy ~ and you can add a line that you do custom work so you could post an example and state that.

You should hold a class. I would definately pay to learn how to do this!

It's beautiful. I love the colors and design, and I would really love to have you make something for me...but I'm not sure what (whether it would be a design for me, or more likely for me to give as a gift). I would also like to know the cost of a pillow.

Oh, and I LOVE MY PILLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm IN love with it, I think. =)

Thank you so much! It's fabulous!!!

It looks GREAT on my bed too.

I think I may want one for a Christmas gift for Molly. She loved it too. Of course, we all covet your talent to do such things. So, if I can pick something out, you'll have to give me a quote. Not that it will matter becuase I'll say, "Do it!" regardless. =)

Thank you for my present. I LOVE IT!!! =)

(I'll take pics of it on my nicely made bed too. heheh)
