New "athletic" shoes

I decided that I needed new shoes. Athletic shoes that wouldn't make my feet sweat. We wanted to play tennis the other day, but we couldn't because of the shoe situation. I didn't want to wear tennis shoes because then I have to wear socks and then my feet get hot and sweaty. I would have worn flip flips, but they seemed silly and ineffective for tennis. So instead we just didn't play.
So. I ordered these from Payless.
I love them. They're really comfortable, they let my feet breathe, and they slide right on. Yet, they're supportive enough to play tennis, take a walk, ride a bike or do any of those other semi-athletic things I do. The first day I wore them, just to break them in, I asked Brad if he liked them.
Yeah. But they don't seem very athletic.
But they are athletic! They're even under the athletic section on the Payless website.
Okay.
I can't believe you don't think my shoes are athletic. I'm going to tell everyone you said that.
I never said they weren't athletic.

Super cute, I love them!
They're very sporty! Remind me of the Clarks I got last year with the racing stripes and squishy bottom, also pull-on-able. However, those turned into the shoes from hell while in NY, as they gave me the worst blisters ever, if you remember. Not that those will do the same to you, but I have one word for you when wearing them for actual walking: socks.
I've been wanting some shoes like that for a long time...they're super cute? How much were they? And these aren't the ones that got half eaten by an animal this past weekend, are they?

They look comfy, and I love shoes, but I am no shoe whore. I get pretty faithful with my kicks, so I probably won't be buying athletic shoes until about 2015. But they're cool and I'm happy for you to have found the perfect shoe for an active lifestyle. Namaste!
