Annie waits... for your help
Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 02:35PM
We need help here in Doahleigh Land. Brad and I saw a performance last week done to a Ben Folds song, and since then, now five days ago, we've been losing our minds trying to figure out what the song is from. Other than just something we've heard on the radio before. We swear it's from a movie or maybe a scene in a tv show. Something, somewhere. Where? Wheeere!
Brad has done every google search he can think of to find the answer, to no avail. The song is "Annie Waits" and the opening notes alone invoke a vague scene from something, a something we can't identify. Help us, please. Listen to the clip, and if you have any clue what it might be from, comment. Immediately.

i know the song well, its currently one of the five discs residing in our car stereo but i have no idea but now that you have posted this, it seems to me i was thinking that i too have heard it somewhere recently ... you do realize this is going to drive me completely insane now ... if you find out or remember, please let me know and i of course will do the same ...
the wedding planner? ... if that's really where you're remembering it from, hit yourself for me, k?
I love that song and had forgotten about it. I must track it down now and play it.
Okay, I'm still doing some research but the beginning of Annie Waits is very similar to the beginning of U2's "The Sweetest Thing."
I swear this has something to do with dancing. And I swear I've seen/heard it in some sort of movie or TV show. Come on, doahleigh readers!
Strange, i feel i know it too....
I agree with the U2 thought.
