E: So did you guys make love?
A: Oh god, please don't say "make love."
E: Why not? What's wrong with that?
A: I just hate it.
S: Me too. I don't think I've ever made love.
A: Me neither.
S: When you have sex, maybe you're expressing love, but the only thing you might be making is a baby.
E: Fine. So did you guys have sex?
A: Oh god, please don't say "make love."

A: I just hate it.

That's hilarious! I hate the term "make love." I much prefer "sexy time." As in, "did you guys make the sexy time?", a la Borat.
I second Jen's label. However, I prefer a spelling less likely to be caught by any potential work filters -- "secksytime."
Dahahahaha!
does Em really say that? Like...honestly say that?
hee hee
ummm...who was having sex???
sooooo funny.
For the record, I DO, in fact, say "make love" and I'm not gonna stop. Maybe I live in a fairy tale land, but I like it there. And there, people "make love" when they're in love and have sex....I think...
I'm with you Emily. I say it too. I think there's a difference between making love and having sex sometimes. And sometimes, there's even something that's a little in between. I suppose I'll say it until a better idiom catches on.
There's definitely different kinds of sex, and when someone says "make love" they usually mean something different than "fuck" etc. However, "make love" just sounds ridiculous no matter how loving the sex is. :)
I once knew a girl who used to tell guys she wanted to make lots of love with them, but really she should have been calling it Making STD's.
