This should be an lj-cut: did it work

If it didn't work, I'm so frustrated because I can't frickin' figure out how to do it!

When I previewed it, it didn't seem to work, but I'm going to post and see what happens. If it doesn't work, will an lj veteran please explain how the hell to do it?

Well it sorta worked. Don't know where the parentheses came from, but whatever. Maybe it's supposed to be like that. Any tips are still welcome. Thanks

I'm so confused, what are you trying to do? And what is an lj cut?

I liked your other icon better. An lj-cut is where you write something, but it only shows up on your comments page, not your actual journal page. So on this original post, where it says "damn it" (on the actual journal page), there's a link. If you click it, it takes you to the comments page where you can read "did it work". So it did work, but it took me forever to figure it out. This LJ stuff is much more complicated than I imagined!

I know I'm sorry. I was actually pissed because we went downtown to Pulaski Days, and I said to Robin "I'm going to call Kristen." Then I realized I didn't have your new number! We were hoping you'd call me. I'll be so mad if I find out you have the same number...
