I’d rather be lazing

I’m having a hard time getting motivated to do much lately. I blame the shorter days. Shortly after I get home from work it’s dark out already, and to my brain, dark means the day is over. So instead of doing anything productive, I watch TV and mess around on the computer. Last night I picked up some clutter and considered that a major accomplishment. Whenever I think of things I need to do — like go to the ATM or hem my pants — I put it off until the weekend, thinking I just don’t have time during the week.

Truth is though, I probably do have time. I just don’t have the motivation. Who wants to sit at a sewing machine hemming pants when you could be curled up under a blanket watching sitcoms? Who wants to drive all the way to the ATM when you could be playing Snood on your laptop (while curled up under a blanket watching sitcoms)?

I’m sure I’m not the only one with this problem this time of year. Right?

You’re not the only one by a long shot. I’ve been doing the same things lately.

You’re absolutely not the only one… when it’s dark outside, it’s hard to motivate yourself for ANYTHING.

Ugh. I hate it when it’s dark when I leave work. I’m glad Daylight Saving Time is longer than it used to be.

    I am so lazy lately
I never want to get out of bed

Um, I feel like that year round, not just in winter… uh oh.

It’s dark, like pitch black, by 4 soon that’ll be 3 and you’ll be able to find me on the couch with a bottle of wine everynight till March arrives….

Totally, totally with you. And the worst of it is (sorry to be such a downer), it’ll get worse before it gets better.

I also feel like that year-round, though mostly I feel like that in the winter. Which is so many months of the year, you know?

I was just complaining about this the other day. I feel motivated when I leave work, but driving home in the dark, by the time I get home, I just want to put on pjs, stuff my face with mashed potatoes, and go to bed. It’s horrible and I don’t know how to fix it.

Okay, so on your sidebar, about yourself you have written:

I’m Doahleigh. Pronounced doe-uh-lee. I’m 28 and no I’m not married. No I don’t have kids. No I don’t have pets. No I don’t have any idea what I’m doing with my life. Why do you keep asking me that?

These are now lies. Well, you technically are not married yet, but it is misleading nonetheless, the no kids still applies, but don’t you have a pet? Or is Oberon 100 percent the Giraffe’s? And the 28 number should be increasing in less than a month. I think it’s time to change it. :)
