I'm just not convinvced that it's entirely broken just yet. It wouldn't play the two DVDs I tried in it (which work fine in the new one, btw) but it sounds like an issue with the laser not lining up right. So I'm keeping it and just getting it out of the living room so that somedaywhen I'm bored I'll pop in a disc (oh, I don't know, maybe a porn one) and see if it still works. No porn.
