Oooh - the half-hearted thanks would have killed me!

The Mr will shovel out people's cars sometimes or their walks just because he's already shoveling ours but never really gets any sort of thanks for it (although I guess he's not doing it for thanks). And these are the same a-hole who will then proceed to save their parking spot (the The Mr shoveled!!) by putting orange cones or plastic chairs in place.

Midwestern winters suck--there's no two ways about it. Everything you described, brought back memories of Chicago for me.

That was super nice of Brad to go help get that car unstuck. I don't think I would have been such a Samaritan. He's def. racking ups some Karma points for that.

Hang in there!

blargh to winter. snow, freezing rain, sleet, gray skies, being at work before sunup and coming home after sundown. runnign the heat constantly. wearing sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and knee highs and sitting under a blanket and still feeling cold. boo to cold cars, freezing air coming out of the defrost, and winter sports. white outs, blizzards, drifts, stalls--screw all of it!!!

This reminds me of when I lived in Buffalo. Great town, but the snow was such a killer. I'd never move back because of it. Hope you thaw out soon.

And to answer your question, my maid of honor even pulled the string. That's love right there.

Yeah, I'm done with winter. I like winter, the snow is pretty and I even used to like sledding and making snow people. I hate the cold though. And this frigid, icy cold, eye tearing, face freezing weather sucks!
