You know they mean it when, at 8pm, only half an hour after taking the pill, you find yourself struggling to keep your eyes open. By 9 you’re out, and even after ten hours of sleep you still curse the alarm clock in the morning.

But my headache is going away, so I’m loving the pain meds right now.

I didn’t take any this morning though. I thought passing out in a puddle of drool at my desk might not impress my coworkers much. I’m just hoping the pain holds off until I get home, at which time I will have no problem falling asleep on the couch at 6 and staying there until Brad comes out in the morning, asking me to shut my damn alarm off already!
