Crafts are not just for kids

I made that whole “craft” category over there and then I never share anything about my crafts. So this post is written solely to show off some of the craft endeavors that have inadvertently gotten me addicted to bad television. Oh, and also to show off some damn cute babies.

That’s Brayden, my dear friend Amber’s incredibly edible baby boy. And that’s the ‘bib’ I hand-embroidered with his name.

And this equally edible little girl is my darling friend Erica’s baby, Ronia (it’s roh-NEE-uh, not RONE-ee-uh). And of course the ‘bib’ I embroidered with her name.

That’s been my thing lately, embroidery. I just finished another project I love, but it’s a christmas gift, so I can’t show it off yet.

If you find yourself needing to nibble on these babies’ faces, I can’t blame you. They are that deliciously cute! But I’m not willing to share, so back off.

  2. Amber says:

Shan! I have completely been forgetting to thank you for the awesome bib. When we got the package I had no idea what it was going to be. We love it! It’s one of those things that is so pretty that you don’t ever dare use it! I told Brayden he gets to keep it forever!

Thank you sooo……..much! I love it!!!

    P.S. Ronia’s is adorable too!

Those bibs are pretty damn sweet looking. How the heck do you do it. I thought that only computer driven machines were able to embroider that good.

Wait wait wait. Erica has a kid? I mean… I knew Amber had a kid, as I saw her when she was pregnant, but Erica I had no clue about. I need to be kept up to date on these things. Congrats to both of you! They’re both adorable! The bibs are totally sweet Shan. I want one. I’ll just have to have a kid… in like 10 years.

Those are so awesome! I want one for my girlfriends baby! I’m soooo not crafty though. Hey, that gives us a good reason to get together outside of work lunches….you can share your crafting know-how with a noncrafter. LOL

Thanks everyone. It takes LOTS of patience and time (which is why I do it in front of the tv). But it’s fun for me!

Jason–sorry I didn’t tell ya about Erica, but yeah she and Amber both have the cutest babies now.

Ed–I AM a machine (although not computer driven…)!
