Oh yeah, and we stopped in EL on the way home to see ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin” (Brad had free passes or rain checks or something so we saw it free). I didn’t think it was that great. I mean I definitely laughed pretty loud a few times, but it just wasn’t as hilarious as everyone lead me to believe. I certainly won’t be making a point to watch it again. Except maybe the chest waxing part.
Saturday we decided to stick to the mainland. After we finally left our hotel room sometime after 3 we walked around some shops, got lost in the A-Maze-n-Mirrors, and tracked down some roasted almonds. Except they weren’t warm, which sucked a little. We checked out an arts and crafts show, ate some Subway, drank the worst chai from the best bookstore in town, and cursed all the hundreds of Corvettes driving around. None of this in any particular order.
That night we went swimming in the hotel pool, and within 5 minutes of our arrival the place was packed. 10:30 at night, what the hell?! We both hate people don’t know, so we didn’t enjoy the pool nearly as much as the two previous nights. We tried to wait them all out, and just as the last person left, two little maggot children walked in, so we gave up.
It was a good trip though, we had a lot of fun! As soon as we get our shit together, I’ll try to post pictures.

Yay I’m writing from Mackinaw City. Brad and I got up here Thursday night, and we spent yesterday on the island. I had never been there before, so it was pretty cool. Except my god they charge you to do everything! We’re not exactly rich folk, so we had to sorta do the poor man’s visit to the island. By the time we ate lunch and took the ferry across the lake, we had spent half our money.
We did rent a tandem bike for an hour and we were one of those super cute couples that everyone stares at as they pass. Yeah, we were a bit of a spectacle, but it was really fun. Then we got ice cream and sat around for a bit in the grass, enjoying the perfect weather. Then after finding out that a carriage ride cost 80 dollars an hour (!!!) we opted for another bike ride, this time on separate bikes. When my ass was thoroughly achey and my legs were thoroughly tired, we turned in the bikes and headed to the Old Time Photo shop. I have always wanted to do one of those, I was way excited. I got to be a saloon girl with a gun and a garter. Brad was a sexy cowboy with a rifle and a deadly stare. It’s hot!
We took the ferry back over and tried at talents at Adventure Golf! I managed to lose two golf balls and Brad managed to make three hole-in-ones. I was pissed. Then we hit the pool back at our hotel. We both love swimming, so it was a good time until I did damage to my ear and my head nearly exploded. I practically cried myself to sleep in pain last night, but it’s feeling better this morning. Wait, this morning? No, it’s almost 3, but we’re just now getting ourselves around for the day. Ahhh…I love vacation!

Brad and I graced the Jackson County Fair with our presence on Tuesday. It was actually a pretty fun, fattening time.
We ate lots of greasy fair food.
Like french fries with salt and vinegar that you sprayed on! Yeah, with a spray bottle.
And corn dogs. And elephant ears and ice cream, but you don’t get to see those. Cuz I didn’t take pictures of them.
We also saw lots of stinky animals. There were so many effin’ cows there! Everyone just brings their cows and puts them in big community barns and shows them off to judges who determine how beefy they are. Or dairy-ish? Strange.

I find it really bizarre that they judge produce. Like not just gigantic produce that weirds you out. I’m talking about produce that you could find at your local grocer.
Look at the winning beans. What makes people think their beans are fair-worthy? How do you even judge such a category?

I moved into my house–my crib for the next year! Dad and Brad helped me hoist a big ol’ rock-hard bed up there, then spent the rest of their energy trying to open the windows. Emily was there to help me arrange and home-ify things a little. Then yesterday Brad and I hit up Target. I bought a fan and towels and bowls and cups and pans and even a toothbrush holder. I tried to minimize my purchases for now though, I’m a cheap ass.
Maybe someday Brad will let me use his camera to take pictures, and I’ll share them. Spent our first night in my new place last night. We both woke up a million times, but I think I’m gonna like it. Except Brad has to stay with me every single night until Sarah moves in because I’m far too chicken-shit to stay there by myself.
Did I mention I managed to lock us out of the house before any of this had time to happen? Good thing my boyfriend has expert burglary skills apparently. He got a window open, and he and my dad shoved Emily through. Remind me to make a spare key to hide outside.
It is excessive whole-body tiredness not relieved by sleep. It can last for a short time (a month or less) or stay around for longer (1-6 months or longer). Fatigue can prevent you from functioning normally and gets in the way of things you enjoy or need to do.

I am depressed–doubt it cuz I’ve been really happy lately
I’m gonna have a heart attack–Hmm…I do get those weird heart pains sometimes
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome–no, I didn’t have most of the symptoms
I am inactive–ah ha, jackpot!
Yeah I could definitely stand a little more activity in my life. But I work at a desk. And it’s so blasted hot! And I’m too tired to be active. Damn those vicious cycles.
I think I’ll take a nap on my lunch break.
