Five burned with tires (tyres?)

Kelli graduates today! On a Thursday, which seems unsmart to me, mostly because I can’t go I guess. I missed Em’s graduation too. At least I’ll be around for Kel’s open house (or open cottage as we do it in our family). Remember how just last week I was graduating from high school?

Somebody was obviously highly offended by my little joke in the last post. So I’m now giving everyone full permission to comment on any differences you might see in me, subtle as they may be. New haircut? Why yes, a full quarter inch taken off just yesterday. Is that a new freckle I see? Oh yes, it always comes out with the summer sun. New shoes? No, but there’s a new scuff-mark on them so they probably look different.

I know how to take a compliment, but I know how to laugh at things too. I’m a sarcastic person, forgive me.

Four prisoners framed by a dirty judge

I thought the whole world read my livejournal, but apparently somebody missed this post: http://www.livejournal.com/users/doahleigh/1300.html

Today somebody asked me if I lost weight because “it looks like it in your face”. God, did I have a huge balloon face before? I guess I shouldn’t be so annoyed, they mean it as a compliment. Hopefully.

Three tyrants torn away in a winter’s month

This morning in the school parking lot I saw this guy on a Harley. He was wearing this creepy skeleton mask. I think I might have nightmares about it. He was just driving around the parking lot, not parking. I kinda got scared and hurried into the building. I hope he doesn’t kill me.

Two neighbors who are proud of their massacre

I forgot…

This summer my sisters and I are going on a little roadtrip to see this great state that we live in and take for granted. Before (or after?) we go though, we’re getting tattoos. I never thought I’d get a tattoo, but this one will have very strong significance. We’re all getting a “Z” (for our last name) somewhere so that no matter where we are or what their names change to (certainly not mine), we’ll always be Z- sisters.

Someone please find or design me a cool “Z” to permanently ink on my body. For real, I need help. I don’t want anything real big and fancy, but something more than Zorro’s plain stick-line Z. Also, where should I get it? Currently I’m thinking the inside of my ankle, but I’m up for suggestions.

One man of 70 whispers ‘free at last’

I managed to get through season 3 of SATC, but now I have to wait til Ann comes home in July to finish 4, 5 and 6. I’m Miranda in both my friend circle and my sister circle. Am I not even kinda like the other three? Miranda’s sorta the loser of the bunch in a way. She needed braces and got hit with old man cum at their tantric sex class and had a really bad haircut for most of the first two seasons. At least she’s a successful lawyer, that’s promising for me.

I want a dog like Jack. A little silky Terrier with as much personality as him. Anyone want to buy me one?

I almost lost my favorite pajama pants. I left them at the hotel near Glacier and had a mini-breakdown when I realized it. But I had them sent to me and I can now sleep peacefully in my green terry cloth pants.

John made me dinner while I was there and it was amazingly delicious. Halibut and terriyaki. I even ate the mushrooms he threw in. I was surprised at his culinary skills and definitely need to marry a man who can cook so I can get off my cereal and candy diet.

Montana part 2

The SATC marathon has been put on hold, haven’t even gotten into the third season yet. We went up to Glacier Monday evening. Drove past Flathead Lake which is so pristine, I wanna live there. The middle of the park is closed, so we only went in the west entrance a little ways and sat by Lake MacDonald which is crystal clear and beautiful. Then we stayed at the Super 8 in Columbia Falls. In the morning we drove around to the east entrance. Even the views from just outside the park are amazing! We took lots of pictures. We drove into the park from the east as far as we could.

We stopped at this ‘mart’ and found all kinds of candy you can’t buy anywhere else. I bought a chocolate Charleston Chew which I’ve been craving ever since every store stopped carrying them. And I bought Sixlets and full-sized Bit o’ Honey. I was in heavan. We kept running into these two guys, and as we were leaving the park, they followed us. When we pulled over in Browning to check the map, they pulled up next to us and said “Where are we going?” as if they were part of our group. And then they asked if they could follow us. Um what? But they did for an uncomfortably long time.

Yesterday we went to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The drive was beautiful and the town probably would have been if it wasn’t downpouring. We hardly got out of the truck before we headed back. But it was fun. Ann cracks me up, I laugh so much with her. I laugh more with my sisters than anyone else. I love to laugh.

All three of us went to see Born into Brothels last night. It was sad and depressing and inspiring and representative of so many things I hate about this world, all at the same time. Then John and I rented the Silence of the Lambs and its bookends. We watched Red Dragon last night, which wasn’t too scary. But I’m nervous to watch Silence. Also last night we went through Ann’s closet (aka: an entire room basically!) and I walked away with a few new pieces. Today we went to JCP and with her discount I got some new tanks for 2 bucks each! Then we went to a couple bead stores, lunch at the Old Post (where we eat free since John is the kitchen mgr), and now I’m at the library.

I’m sad to leave in a couple days, but I have some things to look forward to at home in the next month or two, so it’s okay. Well that’s all for today! Hopefully I’ll see you all soon!

Live from Montana!

It smells like Drummond Island here which is a wonderful thing because that place is full of nothing but good memories. I could smell the difference as soon as I got off the plane. My travels were flawless and I even got into Missoula 30 mins early. I waited until I got my suitcase to call Ann, it was about 11:05 by then, three mins after my plane was supposed to have been there. She answers the phone: “Shannon? Oh my god I fell asleep. I’m such an asshole. I’m the worst sister ever. I’ll be there in 10 minutes!” It was hilarious and so Andrea.

Yesterday I played softball for the first time since elementary school I believe. Ann and John’s co-ed team was short a girl, so I stepped up to the plate. Except not really because I refused to bat. My participation in the game consisted of standing in right field moving up when a girl was batting and out when a guy was batting. And I only did that for 4 innings before my replacement got there. I’m a much better spectator than participant! They lost anyway though.

Other than that I’ve pretty much been lost in a Sex and the City marathon. Annie has every season on DVD. I’m almost through season 2, only 5 more to go! It’s okay though cuz the weather’s not that great, so I’m allowed to be lazy inside. Tonight we’re going up to Glacier so I’ll get my fill of outsideness and scenery while we’re there.

I had the best chai yesterday and again this morning. From Liquid Planet. And a tall is cheaper than I’ve paid anywhere else. Liquid Planet also has bottled soda. Like glass bottles. I’m definitely having one before I leave.

They have a dog. Well two. A black lab and some little dorky Terrier of some kind. Now everyone that knows me well knows I’m not at all a pet person. But I must confess my adoration for Jack, the Terrier. A little dog of all things, can you imagine! But he’s just such a moron and I can’t get enough of him. I want to take him home with me. He even sits in my lap and I hold him and pet him. He’s hilarious.

Well I’m about out of time on this library computer. Hopefully more later this week. I’ll probably have nothing to talk about except Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda though. I’m Miranda right? Erica, Amber and Robin… who were you guys?

Fish update

Remember my mom’s fish? Remember Nora, the abused wife whose dominating husband we flushed? Yeah, meek and timid little Nora?

Turns out Nora is a male. She got all big and turned black and now she’s the dominant male in the tank who chases all the other fish around. I think she, um he, may soon meet the same fate as Shitface.

The minty fresh death breath is sure to outlast this catastrophy

Okay you guys all suck! I’m struggling to make a tough decision and you can’t even give me a little advice. Even something like “Follow your heart” would have been better than nothing! Just for that, I’m not gonna tell anyone when I make my decision. You’re just gonna have to guess whether I’m still living in Michigan after July. So there!

Alright fine, I forgive you.

Guess who visited me this weekend? Robin! We were so accomplished too even though shopping is the worst activity in the world. And she got to see where I live finally, and she got to meet Brad. Oh Brad. I’d love to tell you all about our adventures together, but he’s a lurker around here, so I’m not free to share my deepest, innermost feelings. I’ll just say that I’m glad I met him. Awwww…

I have to go to the dentist tomorrow and possibly get a wisdom tooth ripped from my mouth. I’m not excited, but everyone’s practically forcing me to go. I’m bringing two of my sisters with me. I’m really not so scared that I need two sisters to hold my hands, but it’s fun to turn ordinary events into family outings!

(that subject is for you erica, it’s stuck in my head)
