testing…
I’m hoping that there’s a picture with my name now. It took me a long time but I think I figured it out. I don’t know who this guy is, but he came up when I typed Shannon in google images.

Are you serious? You actually recognize him? Not even sure what to say about that! Except that I really need someone with a digital camera to take a cool picture of me so I can get rid of Claude Shannon.

Here’s you’re guy: http://www.bell-labs.com/news/2001/february/26/1.html
It was actually just a good guess, and I got it right on the first try.
In an ironic twist of fate, the reason you get a picture of him when you search for ’shannon’ is that Google’s search algorithm is based off his beginning work dubbed: Shannon’s Information Theorm (and a bunch of other stuff).
Since SO MANY sites that talk about Shannon’s Information Theorm talk about Claud Shannon the word ’shannon’ is associated with that topic, and him, more than any other figure.
Neato, huh?

Wow, he was even born in Michigan. And I thought I was just picking some random stranger for my icon..now I feel all connected to him. Plus he’s hot when he’s older.
